This policy explains what information the Scanpause app collects, why, and what choices you have. Scanpause has no user accounts and does not ask for your name, email address or phone number.
Your scans
- Scanpause uses the camera only on the scan screen. Android asks for camera permission the first time. Camera images are processed on your device and are not stored or uploaded.
- Scanned content and the link notes are produced on your device. Scanpause does not visit the link, follow redirects or send the address to us or to any third party; a link opens only when you choose to open it.
- Your scan history and settings are stored only on your device. You can delete them in the app or in Android Settings → Apps → Scanpause → Storage → Clear storage.
- If you pick an image from your gallery, only that image is read, on your device.
Information collected by third-party services
The app uses Google services for advertising, analytics and crash reports. They collect some information automatically:

None of these services receive your scans, scanned links or scan history. This information is sent over an encrypted connection and is processed by Google under its own terms: see Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Consent and your choices
- If you are in a region where the law requires it, the app asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in the app: Settings → Ad choices.
- You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your Android settings (Google → Ads, or Privacy → Ads).
- You can stop all data collection by uninstalling the app.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only with the service providers listed above, for the purposes listed above, or when required by law.
Data retention and deletion
Data collected by Google services is kept according to Google's retention settings (analytics data for up to 14 months). Because the app has no accounts, we cannot link this data to you; to request deletion of data associated with your device, write to the address below and we will forward your request to Google where possible.
Children
Scanpause is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
